Car Accident Tips Oil Truck On Its Side In Worcester

Icy roads have caused several accidents in Worcester including a tipped oil truck leaking fluid onto the road.

WORCESTER, MA- Icy roads have caused multiple crashes in Worcester Friday morning. Police and fire crews were on scene at the intersection of Morningside Road and Colonial Road where an oil truck tipped over.

The crash caused the truck to leak fluid onto the roads, crews used sand to absorb the fluid.

Multiple cars were reported sliding down Zenith Drive and slamming into parked police cars.

The accidents come after the city announced a winter weather advisory for Friday. Department of Public Works crews were salting roads through the night and early morning in anticipation of freezing and icy temperatures.
