Catch A Free Game At Polar Park At Spring Open House
Locals can check out the Worcester Red Sox stadium, and catch a game between Assumption University and Stonehill College.

WORCESTER, MA — If you've been curious about the new Polar Park stadium in Worcester, you'll soon have a chance to check it out for free.
The Worcester Red Sox will open the gates at Polar Park on April 9 to fans from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will also include a doubleheader between Assumption University and Stonehill College beginning at noon.
The Assumption team christened Polar Park when it opened for the inaugural 2021 season. The team's return marks a new annual tradition at the stadium.
During the open house, attendees will be able to walk a pathway around the park, meet mascots Smiley Ball and Woofster the Wonder Dog and check out the new jumbo screen installed in the off season in right field. Concession stands will be open, and each free ticket to the April 9 event will come with $2 toward snacks and drinks.
The 2022 WooSox season begins with a six-game stand in Jacksonville, Fla., from April 5 to April 10. The team's first home game will be held April 12 against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
