Chandler Street Shut Down In Worcester Due To Water Main Break
A water main break that has closed a portion of Chandler Street may not be fixed until late Wednesday night.

WORCESTER, MA — The section of Chandler Street closed due to a broken water main will likely remain shut down until late Wednesday night, according to city officials.
Worcester police first reported the closure between Piedmont and Queen streets around 11 a.m. In an update near 2 p.m., city officials said repairs could take an additional eight to 10 hours to complete.
"Eastbound traffic on Chandler Street is being detoured to Queen Street, Austin Street, and Piedmont Street. Westbound is open but reduced to one lane," officials said.
On top of traffic detours, the city shut off water along Chandler Street between Oxford and King streets.
