Changes To WRTA Bus Routes Coming This Weekend
WRTA schedule times are changing, and 10 routes will have services changes beginning Jan. 25.
WORCESTER, MA — WRTA riders should be aware of a few changes coming to select routes starting on Saturday. Schedules will change across the board, and some new routes and trip deletions will also happen.
Most riders likely won't notice the schedule changes, but the new times will be posted on the WRTA website by Friday night, and are available in person today. The route changes set to begin Saturday include:
Route 12 — This is a new route that will run weekdays along Grafton Street to the new Department of Transitional Assistance office at Southwest Commons.
Route 2 — This route to the Worcester Regional Airport will now provide service to coincide with flight arrivals and departures.
Routes 3/3A — This route, which runs from Union Station to North High School will be deleted.
Route 5 — This route will connect to North High School weekdays during school pickup and drop off times.
Route 7 — Will stay on Park Avenue during school pickup and drop off times.
Route 15 — The 5:25 a.m. trip to UMass Medical Center will be eliminated.
Route 24/24A — This route will take Foster Street to Main Street rather than Front Street.
Route 25 — Inbound and outbound start times will be pushed back by 5 minutes as electric buses being serving the route.
Route 27 — More trips added to the route along with 5 minutes added to afternoon travel times.
Route 30 — Route departures and arrivals will be every 40 minutes, electric buses will serve the route.
