FRAMINGHAM, MA — Both Worcester State University and Framingham State University on Monday said that students will finish the spring semester via online learning as the new coronavirus outbreak grows.

Students at both state universities will begin online learning on March 30 and continue until finals are over on May 15. Classes are canceled at both schools until online learning begins.

Many private colleges — and some in the UMass system — decided last week to finish the semester online. Local colleges that have made the switch include Holy Cross, Harvard University, and Wellesley College.
