CT Man, 62, Dies In I-395 Crash After Medical Emergency: State Police

The Monday rush hour crash just south of the Mass Pike interchange slowed traffic due to a lane closure.

AUBURN, MA — A 62-year-old man died Monday evening after a crash along I-395 south of Worcester, according to state police.

The crash happened just after 5:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes south of the Mass Pike interchange. The man, operating a 2006 Honda minivan, drove off the highway into the median and crashed into a tree, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital following the crash. State police said the man may have suffered a medical emergency in the moments before the crash.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, police said.

MassDOT closed the southbound left lane in the hours after the crash.
