WORCESTER, MA — Two Worcester police officers who helped rescue a woman from a burning home in February were honored for their efforts Monday by Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Officers Timothy Foley and Daniel Pennellatore were among the first to respond to a fire at a Chilmark Street home on Feb. 27. They ran inside the home and helped to carry an 89-year-old resident to safety from the home's second floor.

The woman was not seriously injured in the fire, and all other residents made it out of the building safely.
