Vanessa Marcotte Murder Investigation Update: Police Seeking Vehicle
Police are looking for tips involving a dark-colored SUV that had been near the area at the time of Marcotte's murder in August.

PRINCETON, MA – Investigators announced Wednesday they are searching for a dark-colored SUV seen in the area where Vanessa Marcotte was found murdered in August.
Marcotte’s body was found in the woods in Princeton not far from her family's home off Brooks Station Road on the evening of Aug. 7 after Marcotte had gone for a jog while home for a visit. The 27-year-old Boston University grad had been working for Google and living in New York City.
The dark-colored SUV was seen by witnesses parked on Brooks Station Road on Aug. 7 around the time the murder is thought to have occurred, said Early. It was parked near where Marcotte’s body was found.

The Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the Princeton Police have been investigating the murder with the assistance of several units of the State Police. More than 1,000 tips have come in through a dedicated telephone tip line at 508-453-7589.
Investigators assigned to this case welcome any and all information about men who had access to a dark-colored SUV on Aug. 7 and were in or around Princeton. Anyone with information is asked to call the dedicated tip line.
