WORCESTER, MA — Mass Pike drivers in the Worcester area will run into detours all week due to MassDOT construction projects.

The ongoing work to replace the ramps at exit 96 and Route 122 in Millbury will continue this week. MassDOT will close lanes on both the eastbound and westbound sides of the highway every night this week beginning at 9 p.m.

Exit 96 on the eastbound side of the freeway will also be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night through Thursday. A detour will guide drivers to exit 94 at Route 20.

Farther west, MassDOT will be repairing bridges near the I-290 and Mass Pike interchange. Westbound drivers will have to use Route 146 to access the Mass Pike because the ramp from I-290 to I-90 will be closed. Northbound traffic along Route 12 will also detour to the Route 20 ramps to access eastbound I-90.

The Auburn detours will only last from 9 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
