'Disney On Ice' To Make New England Premiere In Worcester
The show will feature more than 30 Disney characters, new performances, music from Disney films and shows and several character debuts.
WORCESTER, MA — A brand-new show is set to premiere in Worcester this fall.
'Disney On Ice Presents Spotlight Magic!' will make its New England premiere at the DCU Center from Oct. 22 to 25, featuring more than 30 Disney characters, new performances, music from Disney films and shows and several character debuts.
The Worcester stop also marks a local connection to Disney On Ice history. The DCU Center, then known as the Centrum, opened in September 1982, and Disney On Ice was the venue’s first family show, running from Oct. 5 to 10 that year, according to the venue.
The new show will be hosted by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. Characters from “Zootopia 2,” including Gary De’Snake and Gazelle, will appear in Disney On Ice for the first time, along with Angel from “Lilo & Stitch."
The production will also feature stories and music from “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tangled,” “Toy Story,” “Moana,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Hannah Montana,” “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” and “Descendants 3.” A villains segment will include the Evil Queen, Gaston, Maleficent and Ursula.

- Thursday, Oct. 22: 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 23: 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 24: 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 25: noon and 4 p.m.
Disney On Ice Preferred Customers can buy advance tickets beginning Tuesday. Tickets go on sale to the public Aug. 4 through Ticketmaster and the DCU Center box office.
