Double-Stabbing At Worcester Liquor Store Ends In Arrest
Worcester police arrested a 42-year-old Berkeley Street man after the stabbings.

WORCESTER, MA — Two people were hospitalized Monday evening after a double-stabbing outside McGovern’s Package Store in the Canal District.
Police arrived at the Millbury Street liquor store just before 6 p.m. Monday and found two men who had been stabbed. Witnesses pointed to a third man walking away from the scene as the attacker.
The 42-year-old man refused to stop for police, but officers caught and arrested him nearby at the intersection of Millbury and Lamartine streets. The Berkeley Street resident was arrested on two counts of assault and batter with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
The two victims were taken to a local hospital for care, but police did not immediately describe their condition.
