Downtown Worcester Trolley Company Buys First Vehicle
The Ride the Woo trolley service will start just as the new Polar Park opens in 2021.

WORCESTER, MA — A company that will provide transportation around downtown Worcester has purchased its first trolley. Ride the Woo is set to begin service in 2021, coinciding with opening day at Polar Park.
The trolley will be available before 2021 for promotional use and for events like weddings, the company said. The trolley will arrive in Worcester in March, the first in a fleet of six trolleys.
"This milestone emphasizes our organization’s dedication to serving Worcester’s downtown business, retail, sports, dining, hospitality and entertainment areas. Ride the Woo continues to innovate and develop alternative transportation solutions for Worcester’s businesses, residents and visitors needs," Ride the Woo president Aaron Perna said in a press release.
The trolley service will eventually serve an area between Institute Park and Kelley Square. The trolley will also run the length of Shrewsbury Street to Route 9.
Polar Park, home of the WooSox, is set to open for its first season in April 2021. Find out more about Ride the Woo on the company's website.
