WORCESTER, MA — Massport will host an emergency drill Wednesday morning at Worcester Airport, which means the potential for loud noises, lights and sirens.

The drill will run from approximately 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in and around the airport on Worcester's west side, according to Worcester Emergency Management. The city said residents should not be alarmed by the drill.

"The use of lights and sirens will be limited to the airport campus, but there is a potential for loud noises and/or flashing lights as part of the exercise," the emergency management department advised. "Massport is asking all participating agencies to use consideration and courtesy of our neighboring communities during the exercise."

Worcester Airport will remain open, and no flights will be delayed by the drill.
