Fatal Crash Closes Multiple Streets In Worcester
At least one person has died following a crash in the city near Canterbury and Grand streets.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police closed Canterbury Street and Grand Street Wednesday after a serious crash that left at least one person dead.
The crash happened near Canterbury and Grand streets, where both roads were closed in both directions as police investigated, according to the Worcester Police Department. Police confirmed the crash was fatal, but said the investigation was still in its early stages.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene, police said.
Police did not immediately release more information about the person who died or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
Drivers were being asked to avoid the area while the closures remained in place.
