The two-alarm fire started around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The entire house appears to be a total loss based on photos from local news outlets.
Montgomery is a town of fewer than 1,000 people in an area of about 15 square miles. The Montgomery Fire unit that first responded was an all volunteer department. Since there are no hydrants nearby tankers were brought in and several units and area fire departments responded, according to reports.
