Fourth Suspect In Worcester Triple Shooting Taken Into Custody: Police
Worcester police had been searching for Joshua Pittman since the days following the Clarkson Street shooting.
WORCESTER, MA — The fourth man wanted in a triple shooting earlier this month turned himself in to Worcester police on Tuesday, the department reported.
Police had issued a bulletin about Joshua Pittman, 20, last week, warning that he was likely armed and dangerous. He was wanted on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, possession of a machine gun and other gun law violations.
The April 7 shooting along Clarkson Street left two 18-year-old women and a 17-year-old boy injured.
Police made three other arrests in the shooting last week:
- Jordany Alejo, 18, of Arlington Street on charges of three counts of armed assault to murder
- Levon Atupem, 23, of Holden, on charges of three counts of armed assault to murder with a gun, plus charges of being an accessory to assault before the fact and accessory after the fact
- Carter Webster on gun charges and a warrant related to the Clarkson shooting
Webster and Atupem were arrested Wednesday, Alejo was arrested on Monday.
Since the Clarkson Street shooting, a 24-year-old man was shot and killed along Allendale Street — the fourth person to die in a shooting in Worcester in 2024 — but police have not announced any arrests. The department also said this week it has launched a special unit focused solely on curbing gun violence.
