Gas Leak Shuts Down Route 146 Near Worcester
The northbound lanes were closed as of around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
MILLBURY, MA — Northbound Route 146 was shut down near Worcester Monday morning due to a gas leak, according to the Millbury Fire Department.
Fire crews responded to the area between exits 9 and 10 at around 9:30 a.m. after highway workers damaged the gas line.
The fire department advised drivers to avoid the area until the leak was contained.
Car 4 and Engine are on scene at a gas leak on 146 North. Gas was struck by State Highway workers. 146 North is shut down between Exit 10 & 9. Avoid 146 North at this time.
