Gun Pressed Against Cab Driver's Neck, Cash, GPS, Keys and Cells Stolen: Police Seek Suspects

Police are looking for suspects, one who pressed a gun against a cab driver's neck.

WORCESTER, MA—Worcester police are searching for suspects in an armed robbery of a taxi driver in Worcester on Monday.

On June 20 around 1:49 a.m., Worcester police responded to a call reporting an armed robbery on Elliot Street of a cab driver, a 39-year-old male. The driver said he was dispatched to an Elliot Street address to pick up passengers. When he pulled up, he said four men approached him. One went to the driver's door and the other three went to the passenger's side. The man at the driver's door side pulled out a handgun and pushed it against the cab driver's neck. The suspect demanded that he shut off the car and hand him the keys.

The four men then got in the cab, took two cellphones, a GPS and cash, then running toward Merrifield Street.

Police found the keys to the taxi close to the vehicle.

The suspects were described as black males in their late teens or early twenties. All four suspects were wearing dark colored clothing and all had short hair. The suspects ranged in height from approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall.

The victim was not injured.
