Holy Cross Students Drugged At Worcester Nightclub: Report

WORCESTER, MA — Local police are investigating after two Holy Cross students reported that they may have been drugged at a Canal District nightclub, according to MassLive. One of the women tested positive for GHB, a sedative often used in date rapes.

The college notified students about the incident in a recent email, warning them to be cautious when visiting local bars. The women reported feeling sick and disoriented after having a few drinks at Moonshiners Bar, 105 Water St, on Dec. 5, according to MassLive.

Holy Cross provides a way for students to anonymously report sexual assault incidents, and other resources like counseling and medical care for sexual assault victims.
