How Much Snow Worcester County Got In Late February Storm
They predicted up to 12 inches, but central Massachusetts topped out at about 8 inches in the snowiest spot.

WORCESTER, MA — Friday's snowstorm wasn't as bad as predicted, but definitely left its mark.
Central Massachusetts topped out at about 8 inches of snow as of Friday afternoon, with Lunenberg and Charlton sharing the top spot, according to the National Weather Service. The rest of Worcester County saw totals ranging from 4-1/2 inches in Hubbardston to more than 7 inches in Worcester.
Here are the storm totals as of 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service. These totals were measured in a single spot, so local results may vary widely:
- NE Charlton — 8.1 inches at 9:05 a.m.
- ENE Lunenburg — 8.1 inches at 10:51 a.m.
- Worcester Airport — 7.3 inches at 2 p.m.
- Sterling — 7.2 inches at 1:12 p.m.
- S Holden — 7.1 inches as of 8:48 a.m.
- NE Leominster — 7.1 inches as of 9:45 a.m.
- Northborough — 6.6 inches at 11 a.m.
- NNW Milford — 6 inches at 8:50 a.m.
- Auburn — 5.8 inches at 9:55 a.m.
- Westborough — 5.5 inches at 8:05 a.m.
- Paxton — 5.3 inches at 9:14 a.m.
- Fitchburg Airport — 5 inches at 12:30 p.m.
- SE Hubbardston — 4.5 inches at 8:25 a.m.
The storm wasn't quite over as of 4 p.m. Thursday. The weather service warned of up to 2 more inches of snow falling through the evening hours. The sun returns on Saturday, but temperatures will barely make it into the mid-30s, according to forecasts.
