I-290 Detour Coming With MassDOT Bridge Project
Drivers traveling from I-90 to I-290 toward Worcester and Marlborough will be rerouted.
AUBURN, MA — An important link between the Mass Pike and I-290 will be closed Wednesday night for bridge repairs, according to MassDOT.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, MassDOT will close the bridge linking eastbound I-90 to eastbound I-290 toward Worcester and Marlborough. During the closure, drivers will be directed south to I-395 and Route 20.
The work will be weather-dependent. Access across the bridge connecting directly to I-290 eastbound will reopen by about 5 a.m. on Thursday, according to MassDOT.
