I-290, I-190 Exits Closing In Worcester: MassDOT
Exits near the interchange of the freeways will close for one night. There will also be more Mass Pike closures this week.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester drivers will face exit and lane closures along local freeways in the lead up to the July 4 weekend, according to MassDOT.
Starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday, exit 22 from northbound I-290 to I-190 and Burncoat Street will be closed for construction work. A detour will take drivers to the Plantation Street exit to turnaround and take I-290 southbound. The closures will end by 5 a.m. Thursday.
According to MassDOT, crews will be performing construction work along the exit lanes during the closure.
Also this week, MassDOT will close lanes and exits on both sides of the Mass Pike near exit 96 in Millbury. The closures began on Sunday and will last through Thursday. Each closure begins around 9 p.m. and ends near 5 a.m. The closures are due to an ongoing overhaul of the exit 96 ramps.
