I-290 Ramp Closures Return In Worcester: MassDOT
Ramps serving I-190 and the Burncoat neighborhood will close again this week due to construction.

WORCESTER, MA — I-290 drivers will be in store for another round of closures this week, according to MassDOT.
Starting at 10 p.m. on Thursday, MassDOT will shut down the exit 22 and 23 off-ramps, which go to I-190 and to Burncoat Street. The closure will allow crews to perform "routine construction operations," according to the transportation agency.
"During the work, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and use I-290 eastbound exit 24 (Plantation Street) to reverse direction back to I-290 westbound," MassDOT said of the detour.
The exit 22 and 23 off-ramps will reopen by about 5 a.m. on Friday, MassDOT said.
The same off-ramps were also closed overnight last Thursday and Friday for construction work.
