I-290 Ramp In Worcester Closing Tuesday
The East Central Street ramp will close for construction work during overnight hours, according to MassDOT.
WORCESTER, MA — MassDOT construction work will close a Worcester I-290 exit overnight Tuesday.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, MassDOT will close exit 16 to East Central Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The ramp will reopen by around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured to exit 14 (Grafton Street) then to Summer Street to access East Central Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
MassDOT has been closing exits along I-290 in downtown Worcester in recent weeks for construction work. Exit 18 closed between Sunday night and reopened Monday morning.
