ICYMI: Worcester Man Arrested for Child Porn, Having a Switchblade
Police searched the man's home after an extensive investigation led them to obtain a warrant.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing charges of possessing child pornography after investigators reportedly seized several electronic devices from his home containing images of prepubescent children.
On Wednesday, July 20, at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Worcester Police Detective Bureau, Massachusetts State Police Computer Crimes Unit, FBI and Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) searched an address on Loxwood Street, Worcester, a warrant in hand, according to a press release.
The target of the search was 43-year-old Richard Malesky, who lives at the location.
Detectives and agents found Malesky inside the home and took him into custody.
Investigators seized several electronic devices that held data on flash drives and a cell phone that contained an SD card.
Malesky was reportedly interviewed by some investigators while others opened and saved the content on the drives and card. Investigators reportedly discovered numerous pictures that contained child pornography. The pictures contained prepubescent children, according to investigators.
Malesky was charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, due to switch blade allegedly found near him. Malesky also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, related to Motor Vehicle Offenses.
Malesky will be arraigned on Thursday, July 21, at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
