Indian Lake Being Treated With Alum For Harmful Algal Blooms
Indian Lake will be treated next week.

WORCESTER, MA—The city's Department of Public works contracted the application of alum to Indian Lake on Tuesday, June 27, to combat the growth of harmful, toxic algae.
On this day, officials advise that people and pets stay out of the water, as well as boaters. Fishing, too, is not recommended. Postings of the application will be put up on the beach.
The practice is a common way to keep the lake healthy and poses a minimum risk to humans.
