Lawrence Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured In I-290 Crash

WORCESTER, MA — A 31-year-old Lawrence woman was killed and two more people were injured in a two-car crash on I-290 early Saturday morning.

State Police said that around 2:30 a.m. the woman's Honda Civic rear-ended a Ford pickup truck that was towing a car carrier. The woman and her two passengers, a 24-year-old man and 25-year-old man from Lawrence, were extricated from the vehicle. All three were brought to UMass Medical Center, where the woman was pronounced dead.

Police did not indicate the severity of the other victims' injuries.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.
