Major Kelley Square Traffic Reversal Begins Tuesday

Construction crews are reversing the directions of Millbury and Harding streets beginning Tuesday night, according to MassDOT.

WORCESTER, MA — A major milestone of the Kelley Square improvement project will happen over the next two days.

Beginning Tuesday night, construction crews will changed the flow of traffic on Millbury and Harding streets. The work is set to wrap up by 5 a.m. Wednesday with the new traffic patterns in place.

The changes will only affect traffic flow below Kelley Square. By Wednesday morning, Harding Street will travel northbound until it hits Green Street, and Millbury will flow southbound from Kelley Square to Arwick Avenue.

There will be new signs in place directing traffic, but Worcester police will also be on scene Wednesday morning to help drivers adjust.

The two streets will be closed to traffic only between 2 and 5 a.m. But beginning at 7 p.m., all cars will have to be moved off of Millbury and Harding streets. If police can't locate vehicle owners, cars will be towed.
