Man, 20, Injured In Worcester Shooting Late Monday
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the downtown area, according to police.

WORCESTER, MA — A 20-year-old man was shot and injured late Monday in a neighborhood near downtown Worcester.
Worcester police responded to the intersection of Pleasant and Piedmont streets at around 11 p.m. on a report of gunfire. The victim was found after he checked in at a local emergency room, police said.
Police also discovered buildings and cars damaged by gunfire along Hawley Street, which is just one block east of Piedmont.

Police did not announce any arrests and said the shooting was still under investigation as of Tuesday morning.
Three people have been injured by gunfire in Worcester in three separate shootings since July 9, including a 3-year-old girl who was riding in a vehicle near Crompton Park on Thursday night.
