Man Accused of Distributing Crack Cocaine in Worcester, Buyer Also Charged

Police said officers saw a suspected drug deal on Chandler Street on Wednesday.

WORCESTER, MA — Two people in Worcester are facing charges after a suspected drug transaction on Wednesday.

Police said officers observed a suspected drug transaction on Chandler Street around 1:15 p.m. The buyer was charged with possession of a Class B substance (crack cocaine), according to police.

Then, officers were able to locate 40-year-old German Echevarria still in the area. A search revealed a plastic container on his person holding six hard, rock-like substances.

Echevarria was charged with distribution of a Class B substance and possession with intent to distribute.

Police did not share the identity of the person who was accused of buying the drugs.
