The hearing would determine whether bail should be considered.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The man accused of fatally shooting a Shrewsbury father at Jordan Pond last month appeared at Westborough District Court on Friday, according to the Telegram and Gazette.

Snehal A. Srivastava, 26, was charged in connection with the murder of 56-year-old Kevin Doherty. Officials said Doherty had just dropped off his 6-year-old son at Calvin Coolidge Elementary School when he confronted Srivastava, who was spray-painting the bridge, and an altercation ensued.

Srivastava arrived at the courthouse shortly before 9 a.m. for the dangerousness hearing, according to the Telegram and Gazette. He was ordered held without bail on a murder charge.
