Man Arrested for Assault, Home Invasion After Allegedly Smashing and Climbing In Through Window
An ex-boyfriend smashed a window on Lovell Street, climbed in, and ran away, bleeding. He was arrested later.

WORCESTER, MA—
On Sunday, July 3, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Worcester police were dispatched to an address on Lovell Street for a report of a home invasion. The 17-year-old female victim told officers that she was asleep in her bed when she awoke to the sound of her bedroom window being smashed. She saw her ex-boyfriend, a 21-year-old man from Worcester, climb in through the broken window, but fled when he was confronted by another resident. The victim got a cut on her leg from the glass from the broken window.
A witness told police that he saw the male suspect run from the Lovell Street address toward Beaver Brook Park and that he appeared to be bleeding heavily because of injuries from climbing through the broken window. Officers found blood and glass in the bedroom near the broken window, and found a large rock in the bedroom by the foot of the bed.
Police found the suspect at an address on Benefit Terrace in Worcester. He was arrested and brought to the hospital for treatment. The male is being charged with Home Invasion as well as Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Due to Massachusetts state laws regarding Domestic Violence incidents, police are unable to release the name of the suspect at this time.
