Man Charged in Death of Webster Woman Whose Body Was Found in Burning Car

A Worcester man is facing murder charges for allegedly shooting a Webster woman.

WORCESTER, MA—A 39-year-old Worcester man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Webster woman whose body was found in a burning car off Swan Avenue last November, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Donovan Goparian, Arbor Vitae Street, was ordered held without bail after being arraigned before Judge Michele Ouimet-Rooke today in Central District Court.

The defendant was charged last month with witness intimidation in relation to the investigation into the death of Marie R. Martin, 35, said officials. He has been held on $200,000 bail on that case.

The judge continued both matters to Aug. 19.
