Man Found Stabbed Along Sidewalk In Worcester

The afternoon stabbing Thursday sent the victim to the hospital, Worcester police said.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating a stabbing that left a man wounded Thursday afternoon in the downtown area.

According to police, officers responded to near Chandler Street and Murray Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Thursday after a call about an assault. Passersby flagged police down to where the victim was lying along a sidewalk.

A Worcester officer helped the man until an ambulance arrived to take him to a local hospital, police said.
