Milford Public Schools Names New Deputy Superintendent For Instruction And Student Services

She spent the last 10 months as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning

MILFORD, MA — Milford Public Schools has appointed Kerry Taylor as its new Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Student Services, district officials announced.

In the role, Taylor will serve as the district’s chief academic officer, overseeing the quality and equity of PreK–12 instruction and student support services. She has signed a three-year contract, the school district said.

She will report directly to Superintendent Dr. Craig Consigli and is responsible for shaping the district’s academic direction, coherence and outcomes.

Taylor has served as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning since July 2025. Prior to that, she spent six years as Milford’s Curriculum Supervisor of Mathematics, where she helped strengthen curriculum and instructional practices across schools.

Her background also includes teaching high school math in New Jersey and in Lawrence Public Schools.

In addition to her district roles, Taylor has held several education-focused positions, including curriculum writer for the Match Foundation in Boston, practicum director for Boston Public Schools, instructional coach at Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy Research, and math coach in Walpole Public Schools.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and mathematics from Boston College and a master’s degree in learning and teaching, with an instructional leadership focus, from Harvard University.

Consigli praised Taylor’s leadership and track record.

“Kerry is an exceptional educational leader whose deep knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices has been evident throughout her career in Milford,” Consigli said. “She consistently brings a data-informed lens to every decision she makes, ensuring that our work is grounded in evidence and focused on results for students.”

School Committee Chair Michael Aghajanian also welcomed the appointment.

“The School Committee is delighted to formalize Kerry Taylor’s appointment,” Aghajanian said. “Over the past year in her interim role, she has demonstrated thoughtful, steady, and forward-thinking leadership our district needs.”

District officials said the appointment reflects Milford Public Schools’ commitment to promoting from within and building on the strengths of its staff.
