'Most Wanted' Worcester Shooting Suspect Arrested
State police have arrested Jesse Ouellet, 37. Police say he shot two people outside a Worcester convenience store in April.

WORCESTER, MA — Jesse Ouellet wasn't on the state's "most wanted" list for long. The 37-year-old Worcester man, who police say shot two people in Vernon Hill last spring, was arrested Thursday at a home in West Brookfield.
State police added Ouellet to the state's "most wanted" list just before Thanksgiving. Police say he got into a fight with a man outside the S&A Market along Ward Street in the Vernon Hill neighborhood on April 19. He shot that man in the stomach, but a stray bullet Ouellet fired hit a bystander, police say. Both shooting victims survived.
Ouellet was arrested around 11:15 a.m. Thursday at a home along John Gilbert Road in West Brookfield, which is about halfway between Worcester and Springfield. He was arrested by a team of police including state troopers, U.S. Marshals, and West Brookfield police.
