Motorcyclist, 19, Dies After Collision In Worcester

The motorcyclist collided with a car late Thursday night in the Brittan Square area.

WORCESTER, MA — A 19-year-old Worcester man died Thursday night after colliding with a car along Lincoln Street in the Brittan Square area, according to police.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Perkins Street. The motorcyclist was speeding southbound when a car headed northbound made a turn into the driveway of a Lincoln Street home.

The motorcyclist tried to swerve around the car, but the two vehicles collided. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and into a tractor trailer parked along the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The crash was still under investigation Friday morning, and police did not immediately announce any charges against the driver of the car.
