Motorcyclist Dies In Worcester Crash: Police

WORCESTER, MA — A motorcyclist died in a crash Saturday on Interstate 290 in Worcester, according to police.

Robert Petterson, 56, of Farmington, New Hampshire, was pronounced at a nearby hospital after a 2020 Honda CRV in the westbound left lane came into contact with a Harley Davidson that Petterson was driving, state police said. The driver of the CRV was not hurt, according to police.

The left and center travel lanes of westbound I-290 were closed for almost an hour, police said. The crash remained under investigation mid-day Sunday, according to police.
