New Suspect In Worcester Lifeguard Stabbing Arrested, Charged
Pedro Felix Camacho, 21, was ordered to stay in jail after he was charged with armed assault to murder.

WORCESTER, MA — A fourth person has been arrested and charged in connection to the July 4 stabbing of a 17-year-old Worcester lifeguard.
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Pedro Felix Camacho, 21, of Queen Street, was arrested over the weekend. He was ordered held without bail after a court hearing on Monday and has been charged with armed assault to murder.
The stabbing happened near 6:30 p.m. July 4 at the Bell Pond beach. The lifeguard was stabbed and hit with a stick, police said. He had previously told a beach visitor to stop drinking and smoking in the park. That man returned with three others to exact revenge, police said.

Shortly after the assault, Worcester police caught the four men near Shrewsbury Street. One of the men was released as police continued to investigate the assault.
Worcester residents Celestine Bigirimana, 22, and Mohamed Abdullahi, 19, and a juvenile were arrested on July 4. Bigirimana was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting, arrest, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct. Abdullahi was charged with with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

After the assault, the Worcester parks department had to close the Bell Pond beach due to a lifeguard staffing shortage. The Belmont Street beach was still closed as of Monday.
