Patriots Captain Will Visit Worcester To Serve Pancakes

WORCESTER, MA — New England Patriots center David Andrews will be flipping pancakes in Worcester on Tuesday for a good cause.

Andrews, who is also the Patriots captain, will visit Abby's House on Tuesday morning to serve pancakes to the residents. Abby's House offers shelter and housing to women experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.

The pancake breakfast — which falls on National Pancake Day — is a followup to two charitable efforts for Abby's House made recently by the Patriots.

The New England Patriots Foundation last year selected Abby's House for its "Community Captains" program. The nonprofit got a $50,000 donation from the foundation, and Andrews donated $10,000 to buy holiday gifts for women and children being served by Abby's House.

The Patriots drafted Andrews, 29, in 2015. He was the starting center for the Patriots during the team's last two Super Bowl victories in 2018 against the Los Angeles Rams and in 2016 against the Atlanta Falcons.
