Woman Hit By Pickup Driver In Worcester At Lincoln Square
The woman was crossing Main Street near 4 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit.

WORCESTER, MA — A 26-year-old woman was hit and injured Wednesday afternoon by a pickup truck driver, according to police.
The woman was crossing Highland Street at Lincoln Square near 4 p.m. when the driver hit her "at a low rate of speed," police described. The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The driver stayed at the scene of the collision, telling police he did not see the woman crossing.

The incident shut down the westbound lanes of Highland Street during the peak of rush hour while police investigated the collision. Police did not immediately announce any arrests or citations in connection to the collision.

Traffic: Please avoid the area of Highland Street due to a pedestrian crash that occurred in the vicinity of Highland and Main Streets. The Crash Reconstruction Team has shutdown the West Bound lane on Highland Street.
