Police Investigate Teen Shot in Leg
Worcester police are investigating an incident where a teen was shot near Tacoma Street.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester teen said he was walking with a friend and a shot came from the wooded area and hit him in the leg while walking in an area behind Tacoma Street on Easter Sunday.

Around 3:45 p.m., Worcester police responded to the area near 281 Tacoma St. for reports of a 17-year-old who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The Worcester boy was transported to the hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
According the victim, he was walking when he was shot in the leg and thinks the shot came from the nearby wooded area. The victim had a friend with him when the incident occurred.

Police conducted a canvass of the area with negative results.
