Public Works: New Curb Cuts, 'Chirpers' at Crosswalks, Resurfacing Hamilton Street

The Department of Public Works agenda includes discussions of installing audible signals at crosswalks.

WORCESTER, MA — The Public Works Committee on its upcoming agenda tackles discussions on resurfacing Hamilton Street, new style curb cuts on upcoming resurfacing project, and audible signals at crosswalks. The committee also discusses new signage and fencing.

The meeting, open to the public, starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, at City Hall.

Further, request that audible signals (chirpers) be installed at crosswalks and to include progressive sounds or beeps as it gets into the countdown portion of the signal.
