WORCESTER, MA — Four NCAA men's hockey teams will face off this week in Worcester.
The first round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Worcester Regional kicks off on Thursday. Michigan State University and the University of Connecticut will face off just a few hours before Dartmouth College and the University of Wisconsin go head-to-head in the contest.
The four-team challenge is held at the DCU Center in Worcester and hosted by the College of the Holy Cross. It marks the 17th time the NCAA men's hockey regionals have been hosted in the city, with Holy Cross hosting the event, according to the Telegram & Gazette.

The schedule of events is as follows: Michigan State (No. 1 seed) will play UConn (No. 4 seed) at 1:30 p.m., and Dartmouth (No. 2 seed) will play Wisconsin (No. 3 seed) at 5 p.m.
The winners of both of those games will advance to the Regional Final on Saturday, Mar. 28. The time of Saturday's game will be determined, and the winning team will advance to the next round of the tournament to continue competing for the national title.

Thursday's game marks the first-ever meeting between Michigan State and UConn, according to Michigan State.
