WORCESTER, MA — Route 146 drivers may encounter some slowdowns this week due to MassDOT work in Worcester and Millbury. The work, which MassDOT described as "highway operations," got underway Friday and will last through the upcoming Friday. MassDOT says divers should expect intermittent lane closures on both sides of the highway between the I-290 interchange in Worcester and exit 16 in Millbury. The work will happen daily starting Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to MassDOT. The work will involve single-lane closures only, which may produce backups along the north and southbound sides.
