Salvadoran Bakery Will Take Over Acoustic Java Café In Worcester
The first Acoustic Java location will change hands starting in February, but will still sell the local roaster's products.

WORCESTER, MA — The first Acoustic Java café in Worcester will change owners following a sale to a local Salvadoran bakery.
Acoustic Java's Main Street café will officially change hands in February to Zaida Melendez, owner of Belen Casa de Pan. Melendez will continue to sell Acoustic Java coffee and tea alongside her baked goods and savory items like quesadillas.
"The block isn’t losing its café, it’s gaining a beautiful new panaderia," Acoustic Java said in a Facebook post over the weekend.

Acoustic Java opened its Main Street café almost 20 years ago. In 2017, the coffee company opened a roastery along Brussels Street behind Rotman's. The roastery and café will become the company's focus along with selling beans nationally online and in local supermarkets.
The Main Street café previously closed down in late 2020 due to the pandemic, but opened months later when nearby Clark University students returned to campus.
