1 Dead In Crash On Mass Pike Near Worcester: MSP
An SUV jumped the median and hit a box truck early Wednesday morning, according to police.
MILLBURY, MA — One person died and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a collision Wednesday morning along a Mass Pike ramp in Millbury.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. along the Route 20 connector to the Mass Pike. An SUV crossed over a median diving two lanes and hit a box truck head-on, according to state police.
One victim died at the scene, but police did not say which vehicle they were traveling in. The collision shut down the Mass Pike ramps in the area until around 1 p.m.
State police are still investigating what caused the SUV to collide with the box truck.
At 9:21 am all companies responded to the Mass Pike on ramp at 10A for a serious accident. MedStar Ambulance also responded as did @auburnmassfire Rescue 1. Life Flight Helicopter air lifted one patient, both were very critical. pic.twitter.com/XPMjbBNvpM
