SHARON, MA — The Town of Sharon is reminding residents that mandatory outdoor water-use limits remain in effect.
Residents remain under mandatory outdoor water-use limits despite recent rainfall, the town announced on Monday. Outdoor water use is restricted to handheld hoses before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. through Oct. 1, 2026. The town said the restriction is mandatory and will be enforced.
Sharon is in the state’s Southeast drought region, which remains under a Level 2 Significant Drought designation. The designation follows two years of below-average rainfall, declining streamflow and falling groundwater levels across Massachusetts, according to the state’s drought status report.
