Special Election To Be Held For Open Worcester Representative Seat
Two Republicans will be on the ballot looking to secure an open state House of Representatives seat next week.

WORCESTER, MA — Two Republicans are on the ballot to replace State Rep. Peter Durant in a special election for the 6th House of Representatives District. David Adams of Southbridge and John Marsi of Dudley are running for the seat.
The special primary election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6. The state election will be held March 5.
Durant, a Republican, now represents Worcester in the Senate. He resigned his 6th District House of Representatives seat following his Senate win in November.
Marsi has lived in Dudley for almost 25 years. He has served (4 terms) on the Dudley Board of Selectmen for 12 years. His leading issues are supporting first responders to enhance public safety, providing a business-friendly environment, and investing in education, according to his campaign page.
Adams served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 26 years. In Southbridge, he served on the Town Council, Board of Health, Redevelopment Authority, and Veterans Council. His leading issues include immigration, protecting Second Amendment rights, and investing in infrastructure, according to his campaign page.
