Spencer 'Bah-Bah-Q' Restaurant Relocating To Worcester
Black Sheep Bah-Bah-Q & Kitchen opened its food truck on Worcester's west side this week before a full restaurant opening.

WORCESTER, MA — A BBQ joint from out west — Spencer, that is — opened this week on Worcester's west side, offering to-go orders from a food truck ahead of a full restaurant opening.
Black Sheep Bah-Bah-Q & Kitchen, previously located along Route 9 near Sibley Farm, opened its food truck Sunday.
"The flock has found a new pasture!! We will be open at 393 Chandler St., Worcester, on Sunday, Nov. 27 from 12 to 6 selling delicious Bah-Bah-Q from the trailer," the owners wrote in a recent Facebook post. "We’re working diligently on the inside and with the City to get everything in order for indoor service and an expanded menu."
Owners Jennifer Wright and Patrick Flynn will seek permits to open in front of the Worcester License Commission Thursday ahead of an anticipated December opening of a brick-and-mortar location. The restaurant will take over the former City Bar & Grille, which opened and closed in 2019, space.
Black Sheep Bah-Bah-Q opened in Spencer in 2021 offering barbecue classics like smoked ribs, pulled pork and brisket, plus sides like macaroni and cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. The restaurant will complement B.T.'s Fried Chicken and BBQ located just a few blocks east at the corner of Chandler and Park Avenue. B.T.'s also started outside Worcester, with an always-busy spot along Route 20 in Sturbridge.
